The first letter in their last name helps to spell NEBRASKA CORNHUSKERS.

    None were recruited by Pelini

Without looking up each individual name....I would say that they all played on National Championship teams and their last names spell out Nebraska Cornhuskers!

None of them are in the College Football Hall of Fame - assuming you meant Terry Rodgers of course....

They are all people who have never been in my kitchen.

This would be the winner although I'm not sure that one of the players actually "played"...but he was on a national championship team (actually 2).

I want to say that they're all either walk-ons, or at least Nebraska-grown players, but I think there are a few on that list who aren't.

Bobby Newcombe was born in Africa, if I recall.
5 National Titles. 9 Undefeated Seasons. 50 Bowl Appearances. 43 Conference Championships. 10 Division Titles.

3 Heisman Winners. 54 Consensus All-Americans. 28 Major Award Winners. 23 College Football Hall of Famers.

There is No Place Like Nebraska.

Good catch...Sanger or Sloey (always liked Bill) fit well!
