    Without looking up each individual name....I would say that they all played on National Championship teams and their last names spell out Nebraska Cornhuskers!

    This would be the winner although I'm not sure that one of the players actually "played"...but he was on a national championship team (actually 2).

    I want to say that they're all either walk-ons, or at least Nebraska-grown players, but I think there are a few on that list who aren't.

    Bobby Newcombe was born in Africa, if I recall.
