I can't argue with Klinsy on these calls....welcome to CONCACAF....Brazil is going to get those calls all night long with refs from Costa Rica....

    SoccerByIves:
Klinsmann "************ off" about PK call and Pato goal being offside for Brazil's 4th goal. Also mentioned "clear penalty" on Gomez in 2nd half

To me after 10 months in charge this team under Klinsman has not moved forward like he and allot folks promised...the defense has gotten worst and the play is not consistent from game to game....the jury is still out....but we are at a point with WC qualifying up on us that he needs to settle on a core group of guys....and press forward with them....

Honestly the future is going to be built around Bradley, Johnson, Torres and a few others....I also see Bradley as a future Captain America....arguably a budding super star who has shown he can play against the top teams and top talent and Johnson looks darn good too....Torres is the playmaker we have needed....

I think Bradley is going to move to a top club in either Seire A or elsewhere in Europe....he has proved himself and teams are taking notice

I saw a young Brazil team dismantle Klinsman's side too easily last night. With all the talent on the USA side, they looked lost at times, chasing the ball and almost panicking when pressured with the ball at their feet. While I do feel that this team is better than the one in front of Kasey Keller that beat Brazil, they faced a team that is far better than the men in the candy stripes.

While I am a huge fan of the side, they need a shot in the arm. There needs to be another player that steps up, stands out, and stretches the field with his speed. Bradley needs Beckerman to help him stabilize the midfield, and where in the world are all the defenders? My son's club side has more defenders that we are confident in than what I see Klinsman trot out there.

Howard is world class between the pipes, and whomever is in there when he leaves is a step down. Donovan seemed to disappear last night for stretches of the match, which is disappointing when he is supposed to be the leader of the team. While I only watched about 60 minutes, I saw that the USMNT is still a work in progress, with a lot of work to do to challenge the elite of the world. There are bright spots, but not a whole team of them, yet. I just hope that LD & TH are around when they arrive.

To me this team has not moved forward under Klinsman and that was my concern when he was hired....and still is....and I could talk hours about that and why he should not have been hired....but we have discussed much of it and I stand behind it....Lowe was the reason Germany had sucess...not Klinsman....he failed at B. Munich and his #1 coach was a dreadful failure at Chivas USA....and I could go on....

I think he knows talent without any doubt and would make a great Techincal Director for the USMNT....he just does not have the 'it' needed to be a head coach....lot of great players don't....

Yup Beckerman indeed....Jones and Edu are just not the answer....so I agree....Becks is a beast in central midfield....hopefully after that performance he will be back in the starting line-up....Jason Kries is a huge reason Becks is as good as he is now....

As I said the defense has regressed under Klinsman....its great to attack, but you have to defend....the old cliche 'defense wins championships'....
interestingly enough Jason Kries, who i would love to see as the head coach or at least a coach on this team, has built RSL on this philosophy....EVERYONE has to be able to play defense or they do not play....and look where RSL has gotten and they can attack with the very best....

Its great to play attractive football but if you get beat on the counter attack or not in the right place to defend then you are going to get hurt....and as you said we looked lost last night....and there is no reason why we should we have talent....Bradley, Demspey and Donovan are arguably super-stars....and Howard is one of the top 3 or 4 keepers in the world....

    I agree on Donivan too......

I have no argruments or complaints what so ever with what you wrote.....we are on the same wave length about this team....well said...you nailed it...
