My senior year FHS lost a district championship game in basketball by one point when the Columbus all star player (Todd Trofholz?) took about four steps without putting the ball on the floor before launching a prayer that went in at the buzzer. FHS would have played in the first state tournament game ever in the Devaney Center if they would have won that game. Alas, 'twas not to be.

Boo Wildcats!

When I was in high school the rivalry between Millard North and Millard West was just as fierce as Nebraska-Oklahoma. Everything the Mustangs were good at, the Wildcats were too - even outside of football. Even in marching band we were fiercely competitive. There was nothing I loved more than trouncing MW on a Friday night and then beating them in a marching competition on Saturday morning...

...and then going home and watching Husker football!

I never played football in highschool, but our football teams always beat Millard North in the regular season, but lost to North in the playoffs. Except my freshman year when MW won the state championship. We always said the steroids kicked in in the playoffs haha
