    A prayer or thought needed!

Just got done spending the day in the ER with the wifey. Complications from the flu. She had severe stomach spasms, extreme hydration, and started convulsing from the ordeal. But now she is home after some great care. Next we get to head to Denver tomorrow for my 4 year daughter to have her tonsils and adenoids taken out. Im sure its a fairly routine surgery, but it does say something to us that they are sending her to Childrens and not doing the procedure here at our regional hospital! I told my wife that my girls are aging me alot this week.....

Best of thoughts for you and your family.

It's not the typical time of year for influenza, is it? Must have been a really nasty one. Am very glad she received medical care promptly.

You are correct. The frustrating part is they said it was more than likely a virus, possibly influenza, but they also said it could of been bad food, sad thing is none the rest of the family that has eaten the same exact thing for the past week had any problem. But they also prescribed percocet for pain and nausea medicine, but forgot to prescribe the Protonix like they said they were gonna. Maybe that's why my daughters pediatrician is sending us to Childrens in Denver!!!!

Good to hear everyone is on the mend, SB!!

I was just in Scottsbluff for a funeral a couple weeks ago. Got the nastiest stomache flu evar and had to delay my flight back and miss some more work...I've since recovered...and my wife appears to be coming down with it today. My mom said it was going around in Scottsbluff - that is a bugger of a virus and it took forever to shake it.

Hoping your little girl gets plenty of ice cream out of her ordeal!!

She's starting to pull out of it. Hope YOU don't get it. I was calling all my buddies named Ralph and Earl, but none of them ever showed up!

Lol! I had an extremely bad sore stomach the day after she was in the er, but I honestly think it was the adrenaline from preparing for my daughters surgery that helped me. Glad to see the wife is doing better. It took mine almost 4 days to get back to normal.
