Can someone explain why the B1G doesn't do a full round-robin regular season schedule? I'm a little disappointed that the 'skers will not face either Mich St or Penn St.

Minnesota has moved from 2nd to 6th with two losses this weekend. As tightly bunched as 7 teams are, it doesn't take much to move up or fall way down.

A big series between Mich St and Penn St occurs the 5/17-5/19 at East Lansing (the last weekend before the B1G tourney).

I will be a little late, but I will be here.
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

    Let's Play Two!

Settle in for a double header today, boys. Rain is expected tomorrow so the Big Red will play two today.

What do you think it will take for NU to move into 2nd place, and earn a bye for the B1G tournament?

Honestly, I think NU can only drop one game out of the remaining five vs. IU and MU

Hopefully we won't end up in extra innings like in our last doubleheader. Makes for a really long day.

We have 8 games left. Doubleheader today at IU, home series against Minnesota, and a road series against Michigan. We have to hope that there isn't a sweep in the PSU-MSU series as there will be at least one loss for each of them. 6-2 (15-9) may get us to a tie for 2nd, but will probably need to go 7-1 (16-8) to be in 2nd alone.
