The smart way to keep people passive and obedient is to strictly limit the spectrum of opinion, but allow very lively debate within that spectrum--Noam Chomsky
Sucks. RIP. His influence will be around for a long time to come.

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.
For me, he kept climbing and reached his zenith on the mic at the end of his career. Thanks for the rhymes, MCA.
Like a Nexus 6 coming home to roost
Handheld 58 when it's time to get loose
Don't need the ear goggles, put me through the speakers
Like a scientist with tubes and beakers
Have MCs over my house and make some brunch,
But you rappers? We going out, going dutch
So pass me the sword, I'll start swinging
Just randomly chopping on a crazy a** mission
I've owned two rap albums (cassettes, actually) in my life...both from about the same time period:
Raising Hell by Run DMC
and
License to Ill by the Beastie Boys

"Brass Monkey" and "Girls" takes me back to the fraternity house at NU....I was a freshman doorman/bouncer 5'9" 140# and we had that Beastie Boys cd blasting at a Roof party, I was guarding a fire escape with another guy....when I told Danny Noonan (6'4", 280#) he was not on the "list"....he said, "Add me to the list" and went on up... The night was young or he might have been drunker and wasted me. Had fun telling the story all night...the night Noonan spared my life! A few year later I saw Beastie Boys at Peony Park in Omaha....Crazy Good time! RIP ADAM!
