I really am burned out on comic book adaptations, but being a former comic book geek and a current Joss Whedon fan I am delighted with the positive buzz on this one and can't wait to take the kids on Sunday. Basically sounds like this thing rocks.
Showman I'm going, IMDB rating with nearly 66,000 votes has rated it an 8.8. I too was a comic book geek growing up I'm not burned on the comic book genre but don't really go out of my way for movies these days.
Now if DC can get their act together and make a Justice League of America movie then I will be happy.
I know 2 folks that went to midnight showings. They are both current comic geeks and they both loved it. Loved it. I will wait and see it on Netflix or in the dollar theater. I am cheap, and I too like bathroom breaks.
Life Lesson: DO NOT LET THE MAN KEEP YOU DOWN! http://forum.huskermax.com/vbbs/show...er-King-Jr-Day "Yeah, saw that only Larry, Moe, and Curly had chimed-in before the thread was locked. C'est la vie when the cumulative IQ of those 3 shxxxeads is something less than 200, with Squatch nailing down 3rd place. Almost not worth the keystroke time expended reporting those twits, however..."
Just got home. I can't say much without spoiling it.. but I went tonight wearing my freshly minted Avengers t-shirt and really, REALLY liked it. I can't say I LOVED it because it was missing a few things (Pym anyone?) but really can't be upset about it in any way.
Also, for those that haven't gone yet but will.. Just like the other Marvel Studio produced movies, STAY TO THE END of the credits. You can thank me later.
