Interesting but not a bad idea.

...and on the 7th day, 57 rested. Except for his heart, that kept racing right along.

The worst case of The Poopies I ever had was a result of Waffle House.

    NEVER again!!!!

That is a great offer...but I must refuse. My sphincter muscles tighten to extraordinary levels when in sight of the establishment causing far too much discomfort.

I believe I had an omlette type dish. It at least had the color of an omlette because the runny consistency kind of threw me off a tad.

I've heard of this before and it's not a terrible idea. Sometimes you just need to put the numbers and charts away and just see what's happening in the real world. Reminds me a little bit of the Big Mac Index.

I try to swing by Waffle House anytime I'm in/around Kansas City... not fine dining but it hits the spot

I can vouch for this. I spent a night in Biloxi, MS about a year after Katrina and we struggled to find any restaurants that were open, or even still standing. On the other hand, the approximately 7 Waffle Houses in town were still standing and definitely open.

We opted for the Hard Rock Casino buffet instead.

Every Waffle House I've been to has been clean, the service really good, and the food great. They're way cheaper than overpriced IHOPs or VIs, and the kitchen is completely open.

Looked into opening a franchise once. Apparently, working there in some capacity at some point is a requirement, which may explain why it's so regional. Certainly the food, prices and service (aside from the grits) would fit anywhere.
