    The cheesey 80's video thread

There were many. Funny, at the time they didn't seem so embarrasing, and some of the music was quite good, but the infancy of the video era certainly looks like a blemish us gen-xers will struggle to explain to our children forever.

    The first offering:

This thread has the potential for epic awesomeness.

I mistakenly mentioned something in the BRAD thread...

Great song, even before Donnie Darko.

With some of the dreck running on MTV now (Beavis & Butthead excluded of course), and the rise of cheap "lyric videos" that are being released instead of actual videos that cost upwards of a million dollars, it won't be long before we have to explain to children what a music video is, period.

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

I prefer the Donnie Darko version.

And if that wasn't bad enough, we have this gem...

Caution: The video ahead will leave you scarred with images that you cannot scrub from your retinas with bleach and steel wool.

I didn't know Stephen King played drums?

This is a much cooler version of Africa

    I thought it was Frodo.

...and Jerry Seinfeld does a great beatbox.

I too thought Frodo, at first, but his profile later in the video made me change my mind. Spot on with the beatboxing Seinfeld though. Plus, his air-drumming really convinced my blind-eye that he was actually hitting drums!
