For the record, there's a small contingent here where I work. But, there still might be more police than Occupy folks.

It is indeed epic. It gives real General Strikes a bad name.

When OWS started I made the point that there was merit to the argument but the wrong (core) group making it. Most of the people who are involved with on a daily basis wouldn't know a job if it bit them in the ass. And that would be true if there hadn't been a recession.

In contrast, the fine people who demonstrate on the weekends sometimes, union people, liberals, etc. ARE people who should be heard. It they strung together a bunch of these kind of demonstrations, I would respect that.

But there is unfortunately no exit strategy for a concept titled "Occupy". I think we are struck with this forever, like herpes.

It would help if someone, anyone could figure what they are protesting for...

I like hippies, they stood(stand) for something. They have a coherent world view. Parts of what they believe are right on.

    Glad that's agreed on.

Hats off to Steve Jobs for taking advantage of a Capitalistic system. Under your way of socialist thinking, Steve Jobs is "Steve Jobless". I did not see his will but........ I"m pretty sure neither of us were in it.

    So you have nothing?

Do you enjoy making it so obvioius?

Nems generalized OWS as unemployed. I called him on it. He has no response. In fact, the sentence he used barely makes sense.

So, do you also agree that if OWS are generally unemployed, lazy, parasitic bums, that TPers are fat, stupid rednecks who can't spell and suck the government dry via medicare, medicaid and welfare?

Actually, what I said was that OWS will fail because the people they rely on are inherently unreliable, lazy and lack the drive to see things through.

The epic fail of the movement on May 1st more than proves that point correct.

    Same damn thing.

You're generalizing about one group but hold the other in esteem.

    Far right hypocrisy in action.

And yep, you'll get the same hypocrisy from the rabid lefties in OWS.

What group do I hold in esteem?

    The tea party?

No particular esteem from me there. But they have been more effective. I suspect that's because they rely more on the older crowd.
