If he was homesick he had a brother on the team he could have turned to.....this is a touches issue and you cant touch the ball on the sidelines
Yep. Not buying the homesick argument. I always got the impression he couldn't get over not being the man like he was in high school. Seeing guys he played in high school have success as freshman didn't help I'm sure
If it's playing time, I don't understand the thought process to sitting out a year for transferring. Kid wants to play now? I don't see the bench for a year as a great option, personally.

Guess he wouldn't sit out if he goes down a level. Where's he going?

Notre Dame only had one Rudy but Nebraska gets a new crop of Rudys every season
Evidently, he thought he was in for another year of it as a true sophomore and wasn't putting up with it. You have to admit, we worked Superman to near death last year. I can still remember him limping back into the game for yet another carry. Very reminiscent of the way we kept playing Helu when he was hurt (2008 or 9?) and TM in 2010.
I think you are correct. He sees Bo pushing Rex for the Heisman and he gets to split carries as second banana. It doesn't appeal to him.
I'm not sure that Bo is doing that....and the only way Rex would have a shot at Heisman is if Martinez improves markedly in his passing, opening up running lanes for Rex.

. Oklahoma is among the schools soph. Aaron Green is considering, along with Houston, Baylor, Texas Tech and TCU, according to his father. -- Steven M. Sipple (@HuskerExtraSip)
I'm thinking there is more to this than even touches. Like the offensive system as well since a transfer requires sitting just as a red shirt season here would
