WEMBLEY, England -- The United States women's soccer team has been grouped with France, Colombia and North Korea in the opening round of the Olympic tournament at the 2012 London Games.
The U.S., the defending Olympic champions from the 2008 Beijing Games, was placed in Group G. According to FIFA's website, they will play France in their opening match. France finished fourth in the 2011 Women's World Cup.

12 teams are in the Olympic Women's Tourney in 3 groups. 8 make it to the quarterfinals. So, don't finish last in your group and don't be the worst third place team and you're moving on!
