    David to the Lions?

    This guy thinks it makes sense:

    As a Lions fan for the last two years, I love the idea. I was bummed when they passed on Prince last year.

    The Detroit fans who replied to the piece don't seem too high on the idea.

    correction:

    Daniel went to the lions;
    David went to the "giants"

    Here is my prediction ... The Packers with the 28th pick trade it to move down about 10 spots or so into the top of the second round picking up an extra 3rd or 4th round pick. With the recently acquired selection in the 2nd round they pick LaVonte David to play OLB opposite of Clay Matthews!

    This could happen depending upon who's left on the board. ESPN ran an Insider article yesterday on "the people's choice" for each team's first round pick. David was "the people's choice" for the Lions. However, their secondary needs serious help. If he's left on the board I think they take Alabama CB Dre Kirkpatrick.

    IMO the best shot David has getting in the first round is with the Giants. They could use him at weakside LB.
