You can make updates and "progress" without losing the "soul" of the team's look.

I say don't change a thing. Nebraska's Uni's are already "futuristic". Well, maybe change the sock or shoe colors.
the only color I'm opposed to seeing is PINK. I understand you want to support Breast Cancer research but what's wrong with just having the ribbon somewhere on the uni like back in the day. I hate watching the pro sports seeing these players with pink socks to match their pink gloves, which matches, their pink under armor gear, etc.....
