Thumbs up Mooney’s C. Love selected top D-III defensive player on 2011 All-Ohio team (Video)

Doing some 'research' on Courtney and found this.....yowza.... From last November and of course his Jr. season.....

Junior linebacker Courtney Love of Cardinal Mooney, who will be playing in the state championship game on Friday, has been named co-defensive player in Division III by The Associated Press.

Love (6-foot-2, 225 pounds) shares the honor with Adolphus Washington of Cincinnati Taft and Najee Murray of Steubenville.
Two other Mooney players were named to the All-Ohio team: Defensive back Ryan Farragher (6-2, 185), a senior, was named third team, and Marcus McWilson was selected special mention.

The kids from Mooney know how to win and they know and cherish the importance of tradition. Love the Mooney pipeline.

Out of curiosity, with the other coaches that have come out of Mooney (i.e. the Stoops along with Bo and Carl, and any others unknown/unnamed), do they tap into their High School as much as Bo seems to?

    In short, No.

This years Sooner class contains two kids from Ohio (Sam Grant TE from Lakewood & Chaz Nelson JUCO DE from Columbus) but you would have to go back as far as the 2005 class to see another Ohio commit to the Sooners in Brandon Braxton, an OT out of Youngstown who was apart of that Offensive line that got dismantled in that championship game by Tebow and his buddies.
