We won't catch Purdue but will have to play extremely well to get to 2nd place. We play Minnesota at home but don't play Michigan State. The good news is that MSU plays at Purdue this weekend.

We don't play in the B1G this weekend (Cal St Bakersfield), but then we play at Indiana, host Minnesota, and finish at Michigan.

So we are a fairly mediocre team in an awful conference. Erstad has some work to do !!!

Nice summary!!! I really thought we would be better than have an 8-7 conference mark at this point of the season.

Well it wasn't the 'summary' I would have hoped for.....really thought the move to the B1G would make this a GOOD year......but hopefully our coach will get things moving UP

even with the atrocious pitching staff we currently have? I'm just happy we're competitive in the infant stages of Erstad's job.

anderson left quite a bit of mess on the pitching sector of our team.

giving away the Friday night game to start a series certainly doesn't help.

hence my stating that if we had a legit Friday night ACE, quite a few issues would be resolved, whereas we don't have an ACE right now.

    Yep.

With a friday night guy the staff would actually be fairly decent, and deep.

    Go Boilermakers!
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

The conference overall is not great, but Purdue is pretty solid.
