Weber, a Friend native and former Husker was called up to the Detroit Tigers yesterday. First stint at MLB level. He was a starter in the minors but is listed as a reliever on their depth chart. Congratulations.

It's fun to still see some former Huskers reap the rewards of the mid to late 2000's of the Husker glory years by continuing on to MLB. Hopefully we can have many more up there soon.

He pitched today. Took the lose but I did not think he pitched that bad. Run scored was on a squeeze that should not have scored, the ball hit was hit off the bunters leg. Upset with announcers, they called him a Lincoln native. Anyway he was called up from Toledo and looked like he belonged.
