From the OWH:
Nebraska got a big piece for its 2013 recruiting class Sunday when four-star linebacker Courtney Love committed to NU.
For the 6-foot-1, 215-pound Youngstown (Ohio) Cardinal Mooney star, “it feels like home.”
“My family loves it there,” Love told 247Sports. “I really liked the facilities, the academics and the people there are unbelievable.”

It's significant given that Ohio State was hot after the Youngstown native.
"I think it will be a big deal to other people," Love told Scout.com. "Everyone is used to Ohio State here. Then again, there are people around me that want me to go to Nebraska for the opportunity.

From the article Joe linked above:
“ It’s because of the coaching staff and Nebraska period. It’s the tradition and it’s special there. I felt right at home. I liked it there and so did my family. “Coach Vince Marrow had a big part in recruiting me to Nebraska. Nebraska. He believes that Nebraska is the place for me to be and I take him at his word.”
Love will be an early graduate and enroll at Lincoln early, allowing him to participate in Spring practice in 2013.
Article is really worth a read as his dad was impressed with Bo and the academic staff a great deal.....

We could be done at LB now with two very solid verbal commits.

I would like to welcome Courtney to the Huskers.
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

Wow. Read these three paragpraphs. Courtney and his Dad sure have their heads on straight. And I love that Bo is keeping Nebraska this way:
Love’s father, Courtney Love, Sr., was in Nebraska for the unofficial visit last weekend as well. He says that he came away impressed with the commitment to the players on the academic side. The academic faculty says that their job is easier because of the commitment by the head coach to the players in the classroom.
“I was really impressed with the academic part,” Courtney Love, Sr. said. “I know the counselors said how great Bo Pelini was not only as a coach, but how he follows up on the players academically and holds them accountable. They said he makes their job easier. He’s 110% in the corner of the teachers and the counselors when it comes to his players.
“Their facilities are super. I didn’t think that anything would be as good as Ohio State, but Nebraska’s were great. The fit for Courtney at Nebraska is super. There was talk among people about a promise for playing time. That isn’t the case. He told us that if he came to Nebraska it’s all set up for him to do the work to graduate and set up for him to work and get on the field. Everything that Courtney would get he would earn.”
Welcome to the Huskers, Mr. Love!
Go Big Red!!!!

This is GREAT! Another top player from B1G Country. We have now nabbed top players from both Wisconsin and Ohio State! Big congrats to the coaches, and it all starts at the top. Our next 3 years in this new conference are going to be real fun now !!!!

USC, Ohio St, Florida St, Oklahoma offers.....great get, and great recruiting pick up for the Huskers. This is an example of a kid that can put to rest the people that say we don't get any high profile guys or 5 stars. We beat out the big boys for him, and even though he is only a Rivals 3 star (high 3 star), he was someone all these schools wanted enough to offer. I think he will be a 4 star in the end, but this is a great, great, great get. Welcome aboard!
Hitting the recruiting trail hard the next few weeks could bring our other silent out of the dark and bring 1 or 2 more into the mix!

Bo and company are starting this class off on the right foot.

IMPO the Huskers could and should take 3 LB'ers this class.

Already a 4-star on 247 whose opinion I value as much more than Rivals because less politics involved...
