He was heavily recruited by top schools:

Wisconsin was among many schools who offered the 6-foot-5, 240-pound Natter a scholarship. He was heavily recruited by Big Ten schools -- Michigan State, Iowa, Minnesota and Purdue had also offered scholarships.

But those were hardly the only schools after Natter. Boston College from the East Coast. Pac-12 power Oregon.

Scout.com ranks Natter as the best player in the state of Wisconsin, giving him four stars and slotting him as the 13th-best defensive end nationally.

    Welcome A. J.
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

Hmmm, I seem to remember coaches at Wisconsin having a fit about another league coach recruiting their commits.

So according to some Badger fans wisconsin is only interested in recruiting the #2 guy and lower! good to know i hope Bo is reading this stuff, we can just steal the #1 guy every year out of Wisconsin. What kind of dumb--- made that comment? oh oh ya and we were not interested in Banderas at all had he decided to go elsewhere!

Sore losers who lost out on a kid because their staff didn't get in on before it was too late...I suspect they will learn from this....or pay the price....

We didn't flip a commit like Urban Meyer did so a totally different thing all together...but yeah they need to pay a bit more attention it appears....

Wisconsin relies on blue collar kids like AJ that they coach up to make their program what it has become....to lose arguably the top recruit in the state to a Big 10 rival is a HUGE loss for them....and I agree with the sentiment discussed earlier he is not going to flip and go to Wisconsin....he has built a very stron gbond with our coaches and just the number of trips he has taken to Lincoln over the past year or so is testiment to how much he likes the Huskers....

Bottom line is Wisconsin blew it on this....they assumed because he was an in-state kid they could take their time...it backfired....

WS losing, what, seven coaches?, may have had something to do with it. But, AJ seemed strongly attracted to NU before that, though.

He visited Nebraska twice last season before the coaching overhaul....yes they had a big turnover coaches which has probably not helped their recruiting in the short run....lot of Wisconsin fans on the boards I have read think they will be able to flip him back....I honestly don't....this recruitment has been going on for quite a while between him and Nebraska and he seems pretty solid in his decision....I think he remains a Husker....

Sounds like a really nice kid on Schick and Nick

    http://stationcaster.com/player_skin...c=981&f=490281

Said he will be a DE and wil play on the speed side as opposed to someone like Greg McMullen. It will depend on how he fills out before all is said and done.

Loves the gameday atmosphere and has a great relationship with JP.
