We are now 3 games back of Purdue going into this weekend's series. Pretty important that we at least win 2 of 3.

So if the automatic B1G representative to the NCAA Tourney is the B1G Championship Tournament winner, is the regular season just for seeding purposes?

That was the case with the Big 12. I am guessing the Big 10 does the same thing.
I really hate Penn State! (And I'm not that wild about Iowa either.)

Red Shirt

Winning the regular season but losing in the conference tourney could influence the committee as well if a team is on the bubble.
We need those bats to come alive in Columbus again. I'm glad the team left with good feelings about the place.

Sure. You know, it's just like that in basketball (and several other sports).

This weekend is huge... at Purdue. Win the series, and Nebraska will be in the top tier of the Big Ten. Lose the series, and Nebraska will fall back into the middle of the pack. Regardless, this is the team to beat in the Big Ten.

We have Purdue at home, don't we?

Check this out!!! We are above Ohio St and Illinois, yet the pollsters have them both above us? Yes, our pitching
is suspect, but, hey, give our offense some respect!
Sure, this poll is a week behind, but Illinois?? Come on !!
Can't wait to see the new poll!!
The jury has been out for some time for some of us, CBob. Quote by THOTDOC

That's an RPI, C-Bob. No pollsters involved. It's completely based on the computers. Regardless, as you say, that's a week old.

Nebraska is now ahead of Illinois -- but still far behind Ohio State.

Sweep Purdue and Nebraska is tied with them, and holds the tie breaker

I like that thought very, very much.
