If this thread is a huffy hair flip, Pops definitely has the hair for it!
I'm sorry I didn't post in your thread, but when I opened it I discovered the same poster going after the same handful of posters....again. Seems to be the common theme in far too many threads. At some point in time, it's gets old, and rather than replying you look for another thread where it's not happening. Unfortunately they're getting harder and harder to find. I wish someone would address it.

I don't let him get under my skin either and even get a chuckle from him and enjoy his antics at times but, that doesn't mean he isn't a big reason why alot of threads go south.

I have to agree with Pops on all of this BS in the cafe. Just ain't what it used to be...in terms of good discussion/debate anyways.
I even miss ol' Warhorse (RIP).
Now, it's just a tit-for-tat, free-for-all and a game of one-upmanship with the usual parties (on both sides) weighing in with less than surprising viewpoints.

Nothing, he just hasn't posted much in the last few weeks.

I think some of the better contributors have gotten run off. HD Husker, whether you agreed with him or not, always brought some interesting topics to the table and rarely if ever participated in the tit-for-tat games....in fact he tried to avoid them by ignoring those posters. He certainly didn't deserve the ridicule he was on the receiving end of in almost every thread he posted in. Some folks might say "toughen up and take it like a man." But seriously, why?

I got this is a PM (and it was from a mod--note: No prior agreement for privacy was requested by the poster):
"Can you get in to the advanced menu?"
Sister Pat Farrell, president of the Leadership Conference of Women Religious, said that Catholics should be able to search for answers about faith without fear.

I don't think there is a "fix" to the issue.
The old adage of "attack the post, not the poster" should be remembered before posts are made. Might be a decent place to start.

I agree completely. But what happens if someone doesn't follow that? Should everyone else just sit back and accept it?
