If there is so much support for Canadian teams, where was a buyer for the past two years?

Fact is, there is a huge upside for the team in Phoenix, more so than in Quebec.

They had one in Hamilton but the league wouldnt approve....They have never even broke even financially in Phoenix mainly because no one cares or at least no one cares enough to actually show up for games on a consistent basis

There were no buyers.. the one from Hamilton was a sham.

Moyers was not a good owner, in fact he had never been in the sports business, just a lot of money.

I was a season ticket holder from 96-03 and your statement that no one cares is very far from the truth.

The Kings had the 26th-worst television ratings among the league’s 30 teams

You know I just reread the last few pages of this thread and I couldn't help but notice something. There are a few posters here that have been complaining about the other teams playing like goons, complaining about the officiating even in games they win, talking down potential future opponents even as their team has struggled against the 2 lowest seeds in the playoffs, and complaining about dirty hits and lack of suspensions for them.

What I noticed is that these posters all have something in common, they all appear to be Rangers fans. I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.

And before said posters get upset at me I'd just like to add that I have actually agreed with most of what they've said, I just thought it was kinda funny.

again I am talking about in game attendance...I am convinced there are 19,000 die hard Kings fans and they show up for every game...but make no mistake LA is most definitely a bandwagon town...even the Lakers

    LA - 12,900,000 to 19,000 = .001472
    PHX - 4,262,000 to 17,125 = .004018

Taking those numbers into consideration, Phoenix only has to put 6,273 fans in the seats to equal a sellout at the Staples center.

Not the games I went too....there were open seats....

LA fans are notorious band wagon fans both in college and pro sports....except for the Dodgers...

well Frank McCourt showed that even Dodger loyalty can be tested...I went in August and there couldnt have been 5k there on a Saturday ....off course there were a total of 3 hits in the game so the product on the field did not draw fans either
