Huskers to wear Futuristic uni next year

Let the masses panic!! Article here.

OMAHA, Neb. — Nebraska plans to wear an alternate uniform for one home football game this season, though athletic director Tom Osborne says the design won't diverge much from the Cornhuskers' traditional look.

Osborne said Monday the design has not been finalized. He couldn't offer any details other than that the uniforms would be "futuristic" but "not outlandish."

    NOOOOOOOOOOO!! Don't touch the N!

In all seriousness, if you're gonna do an alt for one game why not play with the helmet a bit? It's just one game.

In all seriousness...I'd love to see it look NOTHING like what we normally play in. It's just A GAME. And a single one at that.

I agree, although I would say keep all the superfluous colors out.

I wonder which game it will be? Do they save it for a big home game or one of the early games?

I'd do it at one of the early games. Even I have superstitions about the bigger games.

I question the legitimacy of that article.

Can someone tell me how a source in Columbus, Indiana broke this news? As opposed to guys like Shatel, Sipple and Chatelain who are pretty much at daily practice right now?
