    Obama: Solyndra "Not Our Program"

Who is he kidding? (Unless you consider those who can't help but cheerlead for him, just to 'be fair').

"Obviously we wish Solyndra hadn't gone bankrupt. Part of the reason they did was the Chinese were subsidizing their solar industry and flooding the market in ways Solyndra couldn't compete. But understand, this was not our program per se."-- President Obama talking to National Public Radio's "Marketplace."

This from the ever-popular "factcheck.org" website:

Obama referred to Solyndra’s loan at an Oct. 6 press conference
as “a loan guarantee program that predates me.” That’s not accurate. It’s true that the Energy Policy Act of 2005 created a loan guarantee program for clean-energy companies developing “innovative technologies.” But Solyndra’s loan guarantee came under another program created by the president’s 2009 stimulus for companies developing “commercially available technologies.”

I saw this yesterday and it really bothered me. All politicians stretch the truth and manipulate facts to fit their agenda, but this goes beyond that. Obama is a flat-out liar and is showing that he is fundamentally incapable of accepting responsibility.

I don't know of another president that has consistently shifted responsibility/blame to everyone else. Not that it really matters, because the current president is the only one that really matters, right?

When there is no defense for an action it is quite common to blame the past. This is a technique which is really helpful in justifying current liars especially liars who said they would never do this. The real surprise is we continue to keep them in office but in that we are very consistent.

I should have been more clear. Which President was good at accepting responsibility while President? You didn't answer that.

You then stated, "I don't know of another president that has consistently shifted responsibility/blame to everyone else." I replied that I could name three right off the top of my head.

So, it's really not new or at a new level.

Politicians remind me of JAKE in the Blues Brothers when finally cornered by the girl he left at the alter. He got on his knees, begged, pleaded and made a bunch of silly excuses before finally exclaiming "IT WASN'T MY FAULT" She forgave him and he kissed her then dropped her in the mud and took off. The Bamster is one of the best at blaming someone else. it is ALWAYS someones fault but not his.
