This is a great post that I think sums up what a vast number of independent voters are thinking in regards to this election.
Yet the country wouldn't be swinging so drastically to the left socially if the dems didn't keep putting up candidates with strong social agendas. Odd how so many want pubs with no social agenda yet expect the country to vote for dems with no economic experience or credibility and overtly liberal social leanings. Difference is the pubs are more out in the open about it...dems try and hide their leanings or use the courts to bully the will of the people.
I tend to be one of those more concerned with fiscal policy, but this idea that dems are without social agendas is laughable. They either use the courts to force their agendas...or they are simply defending what the already forced into place.

Romney certainly horrifies me a lot less than Santorum...but I do think it's true that he makes John Kerry look like the Rock of Gibraltar when it comes to stances on issues. Tough to say exactly what you'd get with him.
