Thumbs up John Talman on recruiting (1/17/12): Audio with my notes: Some good updates

John Talman had this to say this week:

--Enough room for 5-7 guys in his opinion.....

--Alonzo Moore has made his decision between Nebraska and Mississippi State.....feels like Nebraska will be tough to beat....will make decision on signing day.....

--Andrus Peat will decide close to signing day....

--Damion Shelton heavily coveted by the Huskers....Corey Raymond visited his house the day after he got back from Nebraska....has to decide if he will take a visit to Tennesse or make a commit.....his coach told John this AM that the Huskers remain the team to beat....Oregon State hurt as the DB coach left for Washington today....

--Vincent Valentine the Huskers still have a slight edge with even after his visit to Florida this past weekend....thinks it will come down to the Huskers and home state school Illinois....still thinks Nebraska has a good chance to get him....more of a space eating type of DT....good run stopper...not as versatile as Aaron Curry....

--Devin Fuller is stretching things out it goes down to the wire...wants to play QB...thinks in-home visit with the Huskers staff could be the difference....Husker recruiting him as a QB....

--Aaron Curry coming in this weekend....do the Huksers have room for two DT (Valentine the other).....

    --Keoni Bush-Loo is a great blocker.....he loves Nebraska....came to a Husker camp from Hawaii this past summer....on his own dime....more a TE/H-back who could play fullback...not a prototype TE....really versatile....great hands....great blocker....Nebraska is the team to beat....

--Myers and Smith (highly undervalued because grades kept schools away--now in order) the two kids from Ohio are fall back guys if other targets fall through....neither have offers yet....a few other kids who do not have offers yet either who could jump into the picture...

--Thinks we are also in a good spot with Raymond Ford....

--Sebastian Smith high undervalued could end up as a safety commit....grades scared a ton of schools away....has them in order now....sees a late offer to him and a sleeper in the class....

--Still thinks we will take 16-18....but you don't know about attrition....only the coaches know that....

Im not as sold on Fuller, but would love Curry though!
I would give my life for anyone one of them as i would my own family. -Pops

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

Curry plays at Fossil Ridge which is about a 2 minute drive from my house. And here's the kicker, I have to drive by Scottsbluff Street to get to the school. It's a sign.

You got a Nebraska license plate you can pull out of the closet and slap on your car? We all have to do our part.

I would be happy to get ALL of the guys mentioned here. But I'm really hoping for Fuller, Curry, Moore, Peat, and Mr. Sebastain. Don't know enough about Bush-Loo to have an opinion on him, but I think it would be cool to turn his name into another famous chant similar to Suh.
