In this class I think one of the absolute musts is 1 or 2 really good high school corners. Mo is going to be a good one for us but we only have him for 2 years. The other players with game experience are already going to be at least sophmores by the start of next season.

Ron Brown got a nice little vacation to Hawaii out of it.

Im not worried about this recruit except that I'd love to rebuild the Hawaiin pipeline.

It doesn’t matter if the glass is half full or half empty. What matters is you have a glass that has something in it. Some people have no glass, or have a glass with nothing in it. So appreciate all that is in your life and quit questioning whether your glass in half full or half empty.

I loved Shane Komine when he played for the Huskers. One of my favorites in the all too short glory years of Husker baseball.

I'm not much of a baseball fan but my sister in-law (who is also from Hawaii) is a fan of the Texas Rangers and was able to take a picture with him and Kurt Suzuki when they played each other some years ago. She gave me flack because I didn't know he played for NU. So I had to do some homework so another "longhorn fan" can't hold "not knowing about the players of the school" over my head....

Don't forget about the Hawaiians contribution to the Husker VB team.

Recruiting for NU should start with what needs (position-wise) we can meet with homegrown walk-ons, (such as linemen, FB, TE), and then target other positions nationally, as necessary.

Our walkon program helps fill the gaps of the inevitable 50% noncontributor rate of scholarship players.

"I love it here," Pelini said. "I've said this before: This is not a steppingstone job. This is a destination. I enjoy what I'm doing here, I love who I'm working with, I love who I'm working for. I'm not looking for another job. I'm committed to winning a championship here. I'm passionate about winning a championship here."
