    Big 10 is weak

Look at the bowl record for the Big 10. They are 3-6 with one left to play. Kind of puts the Huskers record in the Big 10 into the perspective of our "national standing."

I notice ESPN already has their Big 10 scroll going

Agreed. The Big 10 is a fraud, at least on the national stage.

The Big 10 is perennially built by media hype and nothing else. We come to realize that fact every new year's. Only now, we are part of the ruse. In years past, we chuckled about it as we throttled NW and Michigan State. It ain't called "the big slow" for nothin.

This is a league of respectable universities with turd football programs. Of course, you can hang with turds and rise above, as Boise and tcu have proven, but 99 percent of the time you end up a turd yourself, and get handled by the likes of fellow turds such as NW and Meeeechicken, and of course a middling SEC team on New Years.

Welcome to the Big 10. Our best chance to do something special nationally was only being one year removed from a legitimate football conference. But that window shut...we matriculated into the turd pool a year faster than I had hoped.

Rinse lather and repeat in '12.

Tells me that every B1G team that has lost thus far was matched against a higher ranked team, and the 3 who've won were ranked above their opponents. So, I'd expect 13th ranked Michigan to take care of 17th rated Va Tech if this trend continues. FWIW, the NU vs. USC difference (11 places) in ranking was the widest of all Top 25 teams playing one another.

Let's go back to the Big 12.

The marque bowls...the ones on Jan 1 and after, the "big" is an astounding 1 for 10 since last Jan.

"But all those teams were ranked higher than the "big" teams." Hmmm I wonder why?

I don't care about the B1G other than Nebraska.

i can't argue with you. if you want to be considered better than just good, you've got to beat teams better than you. 1-10 in the last two "new year's" bowl games leaves no reason for excuses.

There will be a day when that sentiment will not be made in jest.

I like all the games that they have lost except ours. Other teams winning never turns our losses into wins. This is another one horse conference. We will see who takes it over soon.

There is no program even resembling a horse in this league except for Wisky, which is more like a fast mule.

This conference is a group of slow turds. Wisky is the best turd. It's a Cadillac MAC and nothing more.

This is all cyclical any way. Michigan looks like they're on their way back. Wisky should fall back a bit, but still be good. Buckeyes should be good here the next couple of seasons with Meyer. PSU may get moving once they dig out of their abyss. Sparty will hang in there. I hope DONU is close. It'll come around.

When was the last time that the "big" had an up cycle?

Wiscy is a fraud. This will be a Michigan or OSU conference. Then they will go lose the Rose Bowl to a team with speed.

Heck, if Wisky is a fraud, I'll take their qb/o-line/r-backs, some of there D............

Then we would have 3 losses instead of 4. We need SEC players.

Heck I'd settle for ACC, PAC, or Big 12 players. At least you'd have a shot if all the stars lined up.

And it is the skill positions that are so woefully inadequate in the "big". Linebackers and DBs are often a day late too.
