    5 Recruits Nebraska Must Land

This might be the most important recruiting class of Bo Pelini's career at Nebraska. Hopefully he comes back with a good group of players.

I wrote an article on B/R about the 5 players Nebraska needs to land in this year's recruiting class. You can read who I think the Huskers need at this link:

Agree on Peat, Seisay, and Lambert. Disagree on Diggs and Polo.

I don't know about who they must sign, but here are the 8 guys who IMO would be ideal for them to finish their recruiting class with:

    Andrus Peat (OT, Arizona)
    Mohammed Seisay (CB, JUCO)
    Quanzell Lambert (LB, New Jersey)
    Devin Fuller (Ath., New Jersey)
    Vincent Valentine (DT, Illinois)
    Marcus Rios (CB, California)
    LaDarrell McNeil (S, Texas)
    Jared Afalava (LB, Utah)

** This list excludes Brian Nance, Brandon Beaver, Jordan Diggs and Polo Manukainiu because at the moment, Nebraska appears to be a long-shot for them **

Nebraska most likely wont get all 8 of these kids, but I think their chances with each of them are in the 50-50 range. If they did get these kids, I would put their 16 recruits against most teams' in the country. Small class, but one of the top dozen or so if you look at overall talent-per-recruit ratio.

What went "wrong" with Diggs? I thought he loved our staff and had a good bond with Michael Rose. Heck, in the recruiting video he is throwing up the bones with Rose next to Westerkamp....

I know kids will flip and flop, what is it that he is liking in other places compared to us that you see us being a long-shot?

His dad played for South Carolina and in the end it looks like he will too.....in fact his dad played against Nebraska in 1987......

I always thought that might be a deal breaker....

If you could pick 8 'realistic' recruits to finish the Husker class, who would they be?

I added Leggett in place of Rios.

If they can only get one I hope it's Peat.

    Lambert (missed this one)
    Vince valentine
    Afalava BOO YA!
    ALONZO Moore
avery Moss- i really like the potential of this guy! BOO YA!
    E.j Leggett-missed this one.

    50-89
    McNeil
    Fuller- UCLA
Nate IeSE- just dont like his relationship with rios. Had a tough time putting him here due to his dad saying nebraska is in the slight lead but well see.

    0-50
    Diggs- usc
    nance
    Beaver- ucla
    Polo-
    Bullard- Florida

I think Nebraska takes e.J leggett or Mcneil. only need one more db with seisay signing unless CJ is not gonna make it.
