    Xavier-Cincy

Some guys from this game should be suspended for the season.

The piece of garbage from Cincy that dropped the Xavier kid should be gone for the year. Period. End of story. And the kid from Xavier who says "we got a bunch of gangstas on this team". Yeah? really? Enjoy a nice long stretch of the season on the bench, idiot.

    Unreal.

    Agreed! Ridiculous behavior.

I'd even go a step further. If the schools themselves don't take immediate action their basketball program should be shut down for the year.

I know that'd never happen because of the effect on other teams, but there's no place for allowing things to get that out of control.

Cincy coach is saying the right things. We'll see what he actually does.

Cincinnati coach Mick Cronin certainly indicated he is going to take strong action. In his postgame news conference, Cronin said, "I have never been this embarrassed in my entire career.
"It's a complete embarrassment," Cronin said. "Toughness is doing the right thing. You take your ass-whipping and go home. If my players don't act the right way, they will never play another game at Cincinnati."

Based on what i saw I'd suspend the guy from Cincy for the year...if not kick him out of school altogether. The guy from XU that make the shove that escalated the whole thing should sit for at least a couple games. And the "gangsta" should get at least a game or two for being stupid.

Bad situation. That's a heated rivalry, if there ever was one. Those two schools do not like each other. Creighton and NU fans may act like they despise each other, but Cincy and Xavier really have no positive feelings toward one another. Still, shouldn't have gotten to that point yesterday.

I also think the Cincy player who kicked the guy on the ground should be gone from the program/school as well. I really respected the Cincy coaches comments after the game, you could really tell he was both embarrassed and ticked off. The Xavier players comments rank right up there with Kellen Winslow's "I'm a soldja" comment in my "wow, you are such a dumb arse" category. It will be interesting to see what Xavier does because one of the key contributors in this fight was Tu Hollaway (spelling?) their main superstar (he is the one who said "we have gangsta's"). Doug Gotlieb was awesome to watch on this as well as his comments were right on point about how insanely ignorant the Xavier players comments were.

wow..6 game suspension for Yates and the dingleberry who kicked the guy while he was down..that is pathetic. Xavier was just as weak on their players as well

Just saw that. I guess the Cincy coach was all talk yesterday. "If my players don't act the right way they will never play another game at Cincy". Mmmmkay, coach. You had your chance to back up your tough words but backed down. Weak.
