    Not Surprising

Reynolds said he would have considered keeping the family connection to Nebraska alive, but the previous baseball coaching staff showed little interest. So he picked Vanderbilt over Kansas State, Missouri and Arizona State.

    “It’s been great,” he said.

In three years, Reynolds has started 130 games and is 15 hours short of a degree. And he comes to the CWS on a roll after being named to the all-tournament teams at the SEC championships and the NCAA regional.

"The previous baseball coaching staff showed little interest"
