Armstong and Fuller....Huskers two QB targets? With video highlights & stats

Looks like these are the two youngmen we are going after the hardest...Armstrong is the youngman who played with Malcom Brown, the ballyhoo'd RB who went to Texas, and was a first year QB as a Jr....he really likes Nebraska and I could see us with a real shot at landing him....Fuller is the 'all-everything' signal caller from New Jersey who is very interested in us too and plans an unofficial and official vist...

I could actually see us taking two QBs again this year, and Turner remaining at WR/Slot-back even if Bubba Starling comes to Nebraska.....

Finally some highlights of Armstrong....I can see why we like him....based on Becks "O" at Kansas he is a perfect fit for the 'new' Husker offense...

Do you see j winston as a long shot, and maybe little less of a fit going forward?

A real long shot coming from Alabama with the offers he has (just about every major school in the south) and you hit it on the head, not a great fit in my opinion...also wants to play baseball.....

What is Armstrong's 40 time again?

From this particular reel, doesn't seem to have blazing speed, but looks pretty elusive and tough. I like the zip on his passes, accuracy, and quick delivery.

What do you think about these?

4.5 which is some real giddyup....faster than Brion Carnes (as an example) who is a pretty good runner in his own light.....very few quarterbacks will have Martinez speed....he has allot of promise....great athlete who is learning how to be a quarterback....

No, every player on Rivals and Scout is 4.4 or 4.5.....very few you see listed at 4.53 or so. but keep thinking that.

Rivals had T-mart list at 4.5 and on his personal page 4.47...nice try though. doubt he is 4.37....only the nfl combine will give an accruate time.

Actually that is incorrect.....but not worth arguing over....but here are a few examples...I can provide more examples if you would like me too....

    Aaron Green: 4.4

    Brion Carnes: 4.64

    http://nebraska.scout.com/a.z?s=204&p=8&c=1&nid=4091601

    Charles Jackson: 4.4

    Braylon Heard: 4.45

    http://recruiting.scout.com/a.z?s=73...=1&nid=3933318

    Ameer Abdullah: 4.51

    http://rivals.yahoo.com/nebraska/foo...bdullah-111825

    Taylor Martinez: 4.47

    http://rivals.yahoo.com/nebraska/foo...Martinez-79343

I've actually read he was timed at 4.37....can't remember where....anyway my point to RedEd is that 4.5 is some real giddyup....

And I was really proud of my 4.8.

Martinez time in the 10 yard dash is 1.47, That is a NU qb record. To give an idea Crouch was 1.55 if i remember he was a 4.47 guy.
Martinez can get to his top speed quick.

Back to the original topic. Beck seems to really like Armstrong for good reason.
