It might be a trendy phrase but this Eagle thing has gone viral. I've given out the url at least 15 times in the last week. Watching the viewing counter is amazing. Who'da known there were so many nature freaks out there.

I have never really considered myself a nature freak and definitely not a tree-hugger but these birds are just plain cool and to watch them in their own element in the wild is awesome.

I guess I was always a pretty big fan of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom growing up though.

Hilarious. Marlin was more than willing to let Jim do the dirty work. "I'll set up the telemetry device here in the bush while Jim checks the recently awakened Grizzlies’ prostate. Oh.........apply pressure Jim."

High wind warning today in eagle land...winds 20-30 with gusts to 45+

The tree was swaying so badly, it woke Ma up.

We have a ton of cottonwoods in our neighborhood. They do seem to be fairly brittle trees. We had a big one removed in our backyard because it was leaning over the house. The good news is there will be plenty of branches laying around for dad to add an addition onto the nest.

cottonwoods are okay but a soft wood. act as good lightning rods during t-storms. That one has been around awhile so all should be fine.

That was fun. What gooney birds those eagles are.

23F; almost 5000 viewers. Wind is still howling. Looks like remnants of a furry critter blowing from sticks and branches downwind in the nest
