Im betting 12 will branch this week (and my blood pressure will go up!), she sure has an impressive wing span. The other 2 might be another week

Great shot of one of the E's hopping up on the tree right under the camera just now. I'm sure there will be video posted later.

only one in the nest right now; one on the branch above the nest and the one in the nest is hopping about and spreading the wings.

looks like the oldest has his first kill and is not interested in sharing with the younger two.

Wait a minute!!! I stepped out for an extended lunch date (2 hrs) with the family and I missed the first branching of not just one but two of the eaglets? And one of them already went hunting?!! Wha??? Having a hard time comprehending that... at least the first kill part.

I'm not seeing anything in the chat or any videos that show the branching of any of the eaglets yet. Are you sure they just weren't out of camera range? The shot they just had it only showed 2 but they just did a pan and the 3rd was on the edge of the nest to the left.

The chat mods are saying no one has officially branched yet. "Twigged" yes, but not branched (see vid above).

You might be right. When I saw the stream one was in the nest, a second was on the edge of the nest and I could not see the third but he/she might have been there. One thing that might have confused me was one of them (earlier) was holding and eating some prey and I thought he/she might have caught it. However, later I saw one of the parents bring some food to the nest, drop it and fly away immediately.

I've noticed a lot of flapping and bouncing the last few days. They seem to be ready to launch anytime now. I'm going to miss them when they fly the coop.

At times they are getting some good air on those hops. Sometimes they take off from one side of the nest and land right on the very edge of the other. Most of the time they land on another E though
