12/10 vs Incarnate Word (L 74-73) Poor Heads-up Play & on-court Errors = Loss to, Wha, Who?

Indications of what was to come.

And you wanted to remind me of this because??????????? Because WE SUCKED? DAMMIT MAN....

Thanks for putting this together red don! I always checked the thread to check times and all that. Always brought up interesting discussions also.

Excellent summary of the season. I appreciate the effort that went into putting it together.

I think things could have been different if we had avoided those close (and disasterous) non-conference losses. But once things started to unravel, we really struggled to right the ship.

Thanks all, just thought I'd try to dress up the usually sterile statistics a little (tw3 style), and maybe help jog a few memories about the actual games themselves (I'm sure a lot of us watched most of them - Husker Hot Sauce's Cardiologist approves ;)).

Despite the miserable season there were some notable 'mile-stones,' good as well as bad, (i.e. 2 players reaching 1,000 pts. And, When was the last time our opponent's fans Rushed the Court after beating us? ) that deserved to be preserved for the more casual observer.

Finally, for Merle*, there IS a ray of hope for next season (- not too much though ).

(* that we should both live long enough to see the Huskers' First NCAA Win!)

I thought we were poised to get things rolling after the Michigan State game with four very winnable games coming up. But we only won one of them, and the season went into the toilet from there.

Really unfortunate that we couldn't capitalize last year's momentum. Being a fan of Nebraska basketball is not a job for the faint-hearted.

I may be wrong but didn't we have this same record in 1990? We followed that in 1991 with one of our best records in NU history. That team also had a lot of returning players. Maybe history repeats itself
